Meet The Raye Freedman Arts Centre Technical Team

Bodhi Twilley is the venue technician for the RFAC. In his 15 years experience in the entertainment industry he has played in bands, appeared in numerous films, TV series and commercials, worked as a VJ playing along side international electronic musicians and been involved in the production of documentaries for New Zealand television. Since joining the team at the RFAC he has worked on a diverse range of shows and events hosted by the Centre. Bodhi has in-depth knowledge of all technical aspects of the RFAC but can usually be found behind the sound desk.

 

Des Hudson, was involved with the RFAC since it was built in 2005. He has over 20 years experience in all aspects of stage management including rigging on the first Asian Lantern Festival. However, lighting is his speciality and in 2007 he received the ACTT lighting design award for the Dolphin Theatre’s Forget me Knot. Des started his career as a back stage hand at Western Players in Glen Eden and The Waiuku Mill Theatre Group. From there he joined the Pukekohe Light Opera Club where he worked on productions of Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Superstar and Can Can. He has even been known to perform in Pantomimes! Des is also a member of Northern Area Performing Theatre Awards judging performances from Whangarei to Pukekohe.

 

Rei Lee, Previously a student at Epsom Girls Grammar School, Rei has training in classical music (piano and harp), as well as experience in home-studio choral recording and mixing. She enjoys working with community based arts and music groups, having performed and worked in venues such as the Cathedral in Parnell, the Bruce Mason Centre, the Event Centre at the Auckland Museum and the RFAC prior to joining the team here. In June 2009, Rei completed her Bachelor in Audio Production in Byron Bay, Australia. She is a valuable addition to the technical team.
